The unified MAFIT standard

MIMM Academy

Why the Academy was created

A method should not depend on one coach's interpretation

Even a strong methodology cannot rely solely on one coach's personal interpretation. That is why MIMM Academy turns Maria Mazur's experience and approach into a system of training, practice, exams, supervision and regular knowledge verification.

The Academy provides

  • • a unified client journey
  • • a shared professional language
  • • standards for initial assessment
  • • rules for building a program
  • • criteria for progressing between levels
  • • safety standards
  • • clear boundaries of a specialist's competence
  • • regular knowledge verification
  • • quality control across all MAFIT centers
  • • development and updates of the methodology

The foundation of training

What the training is built on

  • Maria Mazur's hands-on experience
  • the MAFIT team's experience working with clients
  • principles of anatomy, physiology and biomechanics
  • observation and assessment of core movement patterns
  • principles of load progression
  • development of mobility, stability and functional strength
  • coordination and balance
  • recovery management
  • professional ethics
  • cooperation with doctors and physiotherapists in cases beyond a coach's competence

MIMM training is internal professional education in a proprietary method. It is not medical, physiotherapy, or state-accredited education.

Annual review

A certificate must be reconfirmed

All MAFIT centers apply a unified annual review of knowledge and practical skills. The specialist is retested, undergoes a practical check and reviews methodology updates.

After a successful review the certificate is renewed for a new period. Recertification is not control for its own sake — it protects the quality of specialists' work and clients' trust.

The review may include

  • • a test on the current version of the methodology
  • • technique review
  • • a practical session
  • • review of a client case
  • • documentation control
  • • safety standards
  • • confirmation of first-aid training, if required by internal standards
  • • review of MIMM updates

If the review is not passed

  • suspended — temporarily on hold
  • expired — validity period ended
  • revoked — withdrawn
One system

One standard across all MAFIT centers

Regardless of the center, clients should receive the same MIMM standard: a clear assessment process, a personal program, progress documentation and work with a specialist who has confirmed their knowledge.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about the training

Frequently asked questions

Who can enroll in MIMM Academy?

Candidates with confirmed basic qualifications in fitness or movement who pass the MIMM Academy entry review. Requirements for each level are listed in the program description.

Does a MIMM certificate replace a state qualification?

No. MIMM certification confirms completion of internal training in the proprietary MAFIT method. It does not replace a state professional qualification, medical education, or physiotherapist qualification.

Can I complete only one level?

Yes, Level 1 is a stand-alone step. The following levels are only available with a valid previous certificate and the required amount of practice.

How does the practical exam work?

The candidate performs a client assessment and a session, explains the chosen decisions and answers questions from the exam board. Technique, safety, programming logic and communication are assessed.

How long is a certificate valid?

A certificate is valid for 12 months and is renewed after a successful annual review of knowledge and practical skills.

What happens if the annual review is not passed?

The certificate becomes suspended (temporarily on hold) until a repeat review, or expired if the validity period has ended. In case of a breach of the professional code, the certificate can be revoked.

Can a specialist's certificate be verified?

Yes. Enter the unique certificate number on the verification page — the system will show the level, validity period and current status.

Can a specialist work outside a MAFIT center?

The right to use the method's name and the MAFIT Certified Coach status is defined by the certification terms. The status confirms training, not an automatic right to represent a MAFIT center.

MIMM certification confirms completion of internal training in the proprietary MAFIT method. It does not replace a state professional qualification, medical education, or physiotherapist qualification.
